I saw one at the ATT store which protects the screen area but not the keyboard and it was very hard plastic - not gonna hold up or be easy to grip. HOWEVER, fommy.com has one which is a rubberized-coated-plastic that they claim is very grippable and rugged and it covers both halves adding 3 mm total I think. It hasn't come in yet, so I can't 'review' it yet but wanted to put the source out there anyway.
If you are looking for a belt holder for the Backflip the Seidio Innocase Holster for the Sprint Hero works great. The Backflip goes face in to protect your screen. I also have a Sprint HTC Hero.
