I used to have Spoken. Caller and SMS, but I don't think it works with Android 15.

Can anyone recommend an app that will announce the caller or ego is texting me?

I'm looking for one that's free and works with Android 15.

I don't know any off the top of my head, but consider this: in order for an app to announce who's calling or texting you, it would need permission to access your Phone, Messages, and Contacts, all of which can be fairly sensitive. You may want to ask yourself what a free 3rd party app could potentially do with that permission, considering that the developer usually wnats to make revenue somehow ...
