I started having this problem with the S7 I had before my S9 but this is so much worse and I can't seem to figure out the problem.
I have searched all over the Internet and haven't found anything that really matches my query correctly.
I have two apps in particular, but this happens with others as well. One is called "Trigger" and the other is my Chamberlain MyQ Garage Door Opener app.
I have Trigger set up for daily tasks, at 8:30am and at 5:15pm. My old S7 would trigger these scheduled tasks for a few days and then stop so I would have to load the app up again and it would start working again for a few days. The S9, however, doesn't at all. The simply won't run. Whatever process that used to run in the background no longer runs at all.
Same with my Chamberlain. It is supposed to 1. alert me if my garage door is open after 10pm. And 2. issue a close command at 10:15pm to close it automatically. Neither of these events ever happen!
I have checked app permissions, I have checked for updates. I have contacted the programmers with no response to my queries. I also have loaded them up and then not "backed out" of them and then set them not to be swiped away when I close all the apps in my app history. I can't figure out why these won't run in the background!
I'm sure it's a simple fix. Anyone have an idea?
