Backlight won't turn off

So last night I noticed the home and menu keys remain consistently backlit even when the screen is timed out. This is rather annoying because it lights up the room when I am sleeping and I am sure it drains battery. The back and search keys do not seem to be on.

Has anyone ran into this issue before? It is driving me nuts.

Has anyone ran into this issue before? It is driving me nuts.

Some EVOs had these issues also where the lower function keys would remain very dimly lit even after the phone was in sleep mode. Do a battery and SIM pull see if it fixes it if not get the phone swapped out it will kill your battery over time.
