Hello,
I am in a bit of a bind. I have a Galaxy S8 that I've only had for 3 months. Unfortunately, my son got it wedged in our power recline sofa and crushed the screen. I thought my phone was backing up to google and/or samsung cloud, but it appears it was not, as my photos are not there.
What I would like to know--is there still a way to backup this phone? Samsung basically told me no... any programs like smart switch do not work as they indicate that my phone does not have usb file transfer turned on... I tried Sidesync, but it doesn't seem to pick up my phone. I have extended warranty from Costco, but it sounds like they will just replace with a refurb phone.
edit: and I had a pattern lock on the phone... though I have logged into my samsung account and unlocked it (or so it tells me)...
any thoughts?
