Backup Assistant stopped unexpectedly?

Hi everyone,

Since the gingerbread update, I've had the issue with the clock that many are experiencing. However, in addition to this, Backup Assistant does not want to open or run anymore. I get an error message of "The application Backup Assistant (process com.htc.VzWBackupAssistantClient) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." Is anyone else having this issue?

I have the clock issue as well as this issue. I use my google account to back up my contacts. Also, I can't sign into my gmail with the HTC mail client. I performed a hard reset two nights ago and accomplished nothing but wasting my time.

this happened to me yesterday and my android market stopped working. i had to do a factory reset and now both works. try that

Thanks for the info friends. I don't think getting backup assistant back is worth doing a reset as I backup my contacts through Gmail also. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't the only one with this issue.
