Bad battery life?

I've recently gotten this phone, about maybe a month ago. I've noticed that the battery life isn't as good as some people put it to be. I'm on 4.4.4 and GSam says I've used 89% in 9h and 43 min and people say they don't worry have having to charge it overnight and can easily use it for 2 days. Any tips for this?

Totally depends on how you are using it. Also depends on the health of your battery, since it's not exactly a new phone anymore.

How much screen on time did you have? What kind of apps were you using? On my Maxx, I could generally make it through a day easily, but if I used it really heavily, I might need to recharge a little. Light use (for me) could maybe do 2 days.

Also, I was using YouTube and Twitter. Pokemon GO did use 10% quickly (which is expected), but even without it, it gets low. Here's a screenshot of GSam

That's pretty heavy use. I'd say it's probably normal, especially for the age of the phone/battery

Alright, I think I'm too used to tablet batterys, and I have been using it a lot more than I have been before. I've just heard people say before that they've used it heavily and it's lasted 36hr.

I always used mine what I call heavily but never more than 4 hours screen on time in an 18 hour day and I would typically go to bed with 10%-30% battery left. You are seeing normal usage from my experience.

You can try turning screen brightness down to reduce display usage. Also try changing apps to dark (or, better, black) themes to use less power on the AMOLED display (though don't expect drastic changes.)
