I noticed today and yesterday that once my phone hits 20% it drains VERY quickly. Today it died so i went plug it in and it said i had 25% battery. Is my battery going bad?

When it does that again, turn the phone on then go to Settings/Battery. Tap the graph to get to the second graph. Look for a sudden drop to zero at the time it died. If that's the case, the battery has a dendrite (see Lithium Battery Dendrite links for more than you wanted to know). If not, and you've been draining the battery pretty far down (actually anything lower than about 40%) regularly, the battery could be at end of life. (Lithium batteries don't do well when regularly drained to below 40%.)

If it's been treated well and there's no dendrite, it could be an app going crazy, the screen brightness turned up all the way and kept on for long periods of time, a bad SD card, there are a few possibilities.

Thank you for that, and a lot of times i do let it go below 40% as i did with all my phones and never had an issue. But i guess it finally caught up to me lol. But i will definitely look into it some more! Thanks for the help.

It's a known issue. If you are under warranty your carrier should replace the battery for free. I've been through this on my Note4. Had the battery tested by Sprint tech support and they replaced the battery free of charge.
