Bad charger?

My phone is only 4 months old and it is telling me to use oem charger. Yet i am using the charger that came with my device. Do i contact vzw or htc about this?

I would take it to the vzw store, they will want to check it out

I think my cord was somewhat pulled from the usb port on the charger. I will let ya know.
