Bad Samsung Update?

About a week ago my stock 4.3 Sprint GN2 starting acting up about the time I remember seeing an unwanted Samsung Hub update of some sort kick off. For about two days I was getting constant Samsung security warnings to update the samsung security policy. I also noticed that my bluetooth is now setup by default to a "hidden" mode requiring a manual pairing of my devices every time making my nfc tags useless. The phone is just generally out of sorts with odd samsung messages and other error messages. It has become so laggy that I am ready to do a factory reset and start over. Anybody else run into this? Was this a "time for a new GN4" update bomb from Sprint/Samsung???

Maybe it's just time for Sprint to reflash the update. (It's known that Android over the air updates can and do fail.) If so, good luck. Sprint isn't known for technical expertise in the stores.
