Bad Signal Affecting Battery Life

As the title says. Where I live I get about 24 hours of battery on my Note4 as I rarely get more than 2 bars for the phone signal strength.

When at work I get a full signal and by the end of the day I still have about 65% battery left with some moderate useage. Phone states it could go for 17 hours more or so.

I once did a test at work where I turned on my phone fully charged in the office and left it on for a couple of hours in standby - no SOT. At 99% it stated that I had about 4 days left to go on that charge.

I keep on all of my radios as well and have updated to lollipop without doing a factory reset.

It's the bad signal that does it in....

Not too shabby....

So glad I did not go for a S6....

Yeah, bad signal will destroy pretty much any phone's battery. Luckily, at home I still get 3-4 bars. Does turning on WiFi help at all?

I have wi-fi on all the time. I connect to my wireless router at full strength throughout the day at home and that still gives me just 24 hours here.

I'm in the middle of switching networks here in the UK because of this issue. I had a Note 3 before my Note 4 and had the same issues, at work in a city centre I get full signal where as at home I never get more than two bars. I actually got to the point that I though my note 3 was broken so when I moved onto the note 4 and got the same problems my signal was the only issue. The only thing I would advise is it to mayble turn on airplane mode when you go to bed, If I don't do that I lose around 15% battery while I'm sleeping due to poor signal.

I usually have my phone on charge overnight. The only time I don't is when I'm testing the battery life. Try not to let it drain all the way down to help with battery longevity and performance.
