Bad stylus?

My Aunt just picked up a 10.1 and I just picked up a Note 2. When I hover my Note 2 with my stylus a small ring (mouse?) appears on the screen. When my Aunt hovers her 10.1 no ring appears - should there be a ring/mouse when hovering the 10.1?

There is an option on the Note 10 to turn it on. I am writing this on my Note 10 right now. The cursor does not appear out of the box and needs to be enabled.

The option is listed in the settings menu under the "pen" submenu. Just tap the box to select the option to show the hover icon. Should be the first option.

Note2 or Note10, that is the question
