Badge notifiations not displaying for Facebook

For some reason I'm not able to display the notification badge number on my Facebook app on the Home screen with my S9+. Worked fine on my S7 Edge. Checked the settings and everything's good but nothing shows up. Only way I can see the notifications is to tap on the app and go into Facebook. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but didn't help.

Anyone else have this issue?

I read under Settings > Notifications > App badges.

That once you clear the notifications from your notification panel, so does the app badge. Because I was doing what you were doing. I was checking the settings and everything was turned on. And then I read that. Which I feel, like that's stupid because you clear it and then later forget that you have a new e-mail or text or whatever because you cleared it from your notification panel so the app badge number goes away too.

I'm not getting a chathead to show up when someone sends me a message on Messenger. I'm not sure how to fix that because I have Chathead on. Notifications for Messenger app is on.

How did you uninstall and reinstall the app? It's not even giving me that option on the s9+. It just shows disable and force stop. Not only am I not receiving the badge notifications, I'm not receiving the push notifications either. Push notifications seem to be working for other things, such as gmail. Idk if it's a phone issue or app issue.

This would happen to me from time to time (I'm using a different phone, however)... And it seems to resolve on its own or with an update. Hope things work out for you too!
