Badly cracked screen

Last night my phone took a dive out of my truck and landed perfectly face down. The screen has tons of cracks, it looks like a spider web. I don't have insurance either.

Anyways, has anyone else cracked their phone? What did they do to solve it (new phone, new screen, etc)?

If you are handy with tools, you can buy a new screen on ebay for about $11. Step by step instructions are on youtube.

+1. i've read on here of a few people that have replaced their screens themselves without issue.

A buddy of mine actually replaced his on his own, wasn't hard at all. Took him no time at all...best of luck.

if you're not real handy with tools, or have an extra $125 or so, you can find plenty of phone repair shops or the sprint store for them to do it for you.

i dropped my evo over the summer and after ruining an ipod touch trying to do it myself, i found a repair shop that can do the job in 10 minutes and gives a warranty.

the part that gave me the heartburn on the ipod, was the glue holding a frame in place. i don't know if the evo has this glue, but i managed to have an extra $125 on hand.

You can also take it to a Sprint repair center and they'll replace it no questions asked for around 30 bucks even if you don't have their Total Protection plan. That how it was for a long time. I don't know if it still is now, but I'd look into it for sure.
