Baked Snack - Hotspot won't work

I just rooted using unrevoked and so far so good. I put Baked Snack 1.8 on with the stock kernel (I used rom manager and didn't select which kernel, so I'm assuming it's whatever stock is).

Everything seems fine, although slightly sluggish compared to stock, except for one thing:

My hotspot doesn't work right. If I turn on the hotspot i get the notifications that it's active but then I get an error message saying, "error code 67, registration failure. Your PCS vision username and/or password may be incorrect, please try again"

The interesting thing is I'm definitely broadcasting.

However, when I try to create a password in the sprint hotspot settings, I get a force close every time I click on "sprint hotspot settings".

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head is that when I flashed to baked snack, I also imported the settings and data (using titanium) from my stock rom. Could that have affected it in some way?

Do you pay for Sprint Hotspot?

If not then dont use that feature... you need to use the Google Wireless tether... Check the Sticky for that...

Wireless Tether

Thanks a ton, it worked fine. I liked baked snack but I wish they had more info on the website. I figured that when they say tether is built in that means to use the built in app.

Some ROMs do use the Sprint hot spot app and just have credentials bypass making wireless tether not-necessary

Beezy and I have a version that does this but the range is not comparable to wireless tether so we don't include it in AC-ROM and left in wireless tether. Long story short, the performance of WT is better than the Sprint app

Thanks, I'm actually very impressed with the range. I have someone over 100 feet connecting right now in a warehouse type building. He's getting 2 out of 3 bars on his iphone too.

Thats Blasphemy stop that krap... -___- lol :p

LOL, did I say a bad word? Hey this is praise for my phone (and rom), not his :)

How about this, my connection from 100 feet away was better than his connection on his phone. Better?
