baked snack question

I was looking to flash baked snack v1.7 I'm running cm6 stable right now but when I try to flash bs the install aborts any ideas?

Aborts as in what? What does it say specifically?

Sorry to hijack your thread, but since this is about Baked Snack 1.7 I figured I would ask here instead of starting another "Baked Snack Qs". So here are my questions:

1) is anyone noticing a lag or stuttering when they are playing music (via HTC media player) and surf the web etc?

2) There is a rumor that HTC/Sprint will be releasing a new OTA for uncapping the 30FPS and other goodies. Is it correct to assume that when you are on custom ROM, you cant update to the OTA (also I believe Baked Snack is already uncapped, but I would like fixes for the calendar, etc)?

1) Nope
2) Yea you can get the ota update if it has those sprint update parts in ur rom..you will break root though. Best to wait until the update gets ripped through and the calendar updates get applied to ur fav rom

So it wont be an issue with Baked Snack 1.7? Thats great, because Unrevoked team stated that:

If 3.29.651.5 be the final version of the #evo4g OTA, then it is safe to flash -- unrevoked and unrevoked forever still work.




So does anyone have any idea why the music would stutter while surfing the web or playing with the phone?

It just gets to unpacking the file and aborts I'm not 100% sure what it says exactly. I'll try again and see

@ op did you do a full wipe? Aosp and sence really dont seem to like each other in my experience
@chee you can flash the ota but you will lose bs.

Mine is doing the exact same thing, I actually came here to post about it today, then found this thread. I tried manually installing Adobe and through the Market. Both give the same end results.

It says "Package file was not signed correctly." when trying through the market. And manually installing the .apk I get this "Application not installed"

This is after a clean Baked Snack 1.7 install just a day ago. All other apps seem to be installing without any issues.

Yes this was clearing cache and everything too.

Any ideas?

Manup's Revolution theme works.


Off topic: I just flashed Baked Snack 1.8 and GMail keeps force closing. Is this something I can remove and reinstall? Not sure how else to correct this.

I have the same problem.... gmail forces close on 1.8.... Weird...

Thanks unistall and then install back seems to have fixed the issue...
