This looks like the answer to everyone who's looking for an Otterbox type case. Hopefully there won't be any issues, it looks solid. I just got my temporary case 2 days ago, but I'm ready to order to bad boy.

Thanks for posting this. I will probably give it a shot. I like to just use a bumper at home but want something like the defender type cases while I am at work. I work for the FD and can trash a phone in no time just letting it rattle around the engine. I literally change my case out when I get off work work every morning so I like it to be easy enough to get the bulky case off. This one doesn't look too bad.

I've used them before but their cases are so bulky.

Have you tried the SG MAXX series, or was it a different one? The picture makes this look pretty slim.. At least as slim as it's going to get for that much protection.

No problem. The only odd thing is, I can't find it on their official website. Not even under "coming soon" or "In the works" lol. There's not even a Nexus 5 category.

Is this ever gonna be released? Been waiting for this, Seems like the only case with a belt clip that's any good...:(

Are there any other belt clip cases that are decent quality I've tried several from amazon but there all junk. Was hoping to get this case...

Heya mates!

Anyone interested in the Ballstic SG MAXX Series Case for the N5 here's a couple facts and pictures I took on the fly

-It DOES in fact work with wireless charging through the case (I'm using a ZENS Pad) Something worth noting though: When I originally placed my N5 on the charging pad it didn't pick it up. I just applied a slight amount of pressure down on the device and then it picked it up immediately (and stayed charging). So, maybe not perfect- but it does work.

-In comparison to the OtterBox Defender, I think these Ballistic MAXX Cases are a little less bulky. I don't believe OtterBox has any cases out (yet) for the N5, but in general a lot of our customers agree that these cases seem to hold up a little better. Just some food for thought :)

-Black/White we have in stock right now, but Black/Black are out of stock until around the 16th.

Here's some extra images of the case and everything it comes with. (Even a Ballistic sticker!) Hope this helps. Cheers

does anybody know if its possible to place the phone face up/out in the holster?

I was able to do this with the Defender case for my iphone 4, unfortunately Otterbox doesn't care about Nexus 5

My use case is to mount the holster to a scooter and be able to pop the phone in and out with the screen still visible

You can't place the phone screen out in the holster. That was the first thing I tried! This is a feature I loved in the Otterbox Defender Series cases.

Can you use this case without the screen protector it comes with, and does the case still fit snug without it?

How is the grip when your holding it?

I will try without the screen protector tomorrow. Loving it with it on, so far.. Just needed a little getting used to.

Grip is fine. Back is a little slicker than the photos make it appear, but if you put your pinky under the phone when you hold it like me, the rubber underneath helps a lot.
