BAMF 2.0-4.01 gapps fc...

I keep getting a force close for gapps on this build... any way to prevent this? It doesn't seem to be really effecting anything, but is still really annoying. Thanks!

Now on BAMF 2.0-5 and still fc'ing the same process. Any thoughts on how to remedy?

Bump please... The calendar isn't syncing anymore, I'm still on 2.0-5. The force closes come up every time I wake the phone pretty much. Would a reflash of the rom work?

I really don't want to go back to Froyo, Gingerbread is so much smoother. These fc's are killing me though.

I just rooted and flashes Bamf GingerREMIX v2.0 Beta #6 today. I am also getting the same force closes.. and it is quite frequent at times. Any fix?

Not yet. Just tried clearing data manage applications

I deactivated the Google sync in Accounts & Sync. Using third party apps for all of Google services. I haven't seen the force close message for a couple of hours since. It was a drastic move. But I hope it works.
I also wiped data on the Google Services Framework and Google Contact Sync in Titanium Backup.
I dont know which one is doing the trick.

I was on Bamf 2.0-5 and then went to Remix 2.0-5 and 6. I had the same issue w/ all Google apps fc'ing. Drove me nuts, plus I had not calendar events which a deal killer for me.
I had to go back to Froyo 1.6.3 Remix, and all is good again.

I miss the GB a little. If anyone has a fix, please share.

Could it be a sequence of events in the install?

I load the ROM, then as it is starting to reboot, I pull the battery.

I pull the SD card and load the GB radio then go straight into HBoot to flash the new radio. Is this a problem?

I didn't pull the battery out like u did and I still have the problem. Yes it came back to me after I logged into the Market with my Google account.

And it is not a problem with the Thubderbolt only. It seems other phones have had this problem as well. I used to get something like this on my rooted Fascinate but not as frequently as this.

Thanks to Cyber Warrior's post, I think I have now isolated the problem. It appears to be the calendar sync under Google account. I had set the Google account to sync only gmail and calendar. I had left the other three unchecked to begin with. Now I have just the gmail checked and unchecked calendar. Every time I tried to manually sync calendar, the force close thing came up.
Now I havent seen the message since.
While I was browsing the Market for a calendar app earlier today, I saw one of the devs mention in the description that google had changed something about calendar sync at their end. I don't know what. Maybe that was causing the force closes.

I tried re-loading GB Bamf Remix v6 again, and I had the same issues still. I guess I will stick w. 1.6.3 remix for a while longer. Not exactly a terrible situation by far as this is a great ROM.

I hope someone is able to fix this for good on future ROMs.

Did you try disabling google calendar sync in settings -->accounts & sync like I did. That got rid of the problem for me.

I did try that and had no luck. No big deal as I will now wait to load a GB ROM when there is an official radio. By then I think there will be less bugs.
Plus, some of my apps did nit run on GB so that's an added benefit to keep Froyo.

I flashes REMIX 2.1 this morning and right at the beginning during setup, I unchecked the calendar sync under Google account in Accounts & sync. I did not have a single force close. This method worked for a friend of mine too a couple of days ago. I only have set emails to sync in my google account. I have unchecked everything else.
