Now that I think about it yes I did set up a VPN on NordVPN it shows connected but on the settings is not turned on

When u reinstall it open the VPN to connect in US and not different country .

I use Nord VPN and I've had this issue on occasion. When I do I email customer service and the they will email a list of servers that should work. Servers that will work with BoA come and go.
Next time this happens (and it will) try connecting to "United States #5995". You can make it a favorite which makes connecting convenient.

just went through the exact same issue with the new apple music update and my LG V40. it said i was offline or not connected. i chatted with apple support after clearing data/cache, uninstalling and reinstalling etc. then i realized it might be the VPN that's always on. switched nordVPN off and now it seems to be working. not sure why i use a VPN on my phone. i think it's a habit from traveling so much.
