Hi there,
I received my Pixel 2 directly from my network provider (EE) yesterday. The phone is running Android 8.0. Everything seemed fine until I tried to install a banking app. After installing the app a warning message appeared claiming my phone is rooted and therefore it is not recommended to use the app. Has anyone else experienced this problem or does anyone have any idea why it would say this? The phone can not be rooted as its straight out of the box. The only things I have done so far is transfer my data and apps from my old android handset and installed the android update. Any ideas?
Thanks!
