Barcode Readers don't work.

I've tried several Barcode apps and none of them seem to work with my Tab 4. The apps load and run fine, but they don't read barcodes. I think that this happened after I upgraded to Lolipop, I think it was working fine before the upgrade....but I'm not 100% sure about that.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I've been told its because the camera lacks auto focus not sure though
