Baseband question

does the baseband version update on it's own? reason i'm asking is because recently i rooted my phone and then i unrooted. flashed the stock recovery and relocked the bootloader then flashed the stock 2.3.1 update then back up to 2.3.2, Then i compared my info to other about phone pages and my baseband version is different than others on the web, my version says "I9020XXKB3" and other 2.3.2 versions say "I9020XXJKB3" am i missing something or is this normal?

ok, thank you. i hope it is because i'm kinda stressing about having a different version than stock

or are baseband versions different for each device? or for different carries like one is set for tmo or att or european carriers?
