baseband stuck at DG17, update fails

I have been waiting for a long time to get froyo. Well, after fighting with my phone being stuck at DG17 I managed to get it rooted and clockwork recovery. It wouldn't take any OTA updates. I managed to manually update the software to DI18 by way of update.zip and it picked up the EC05 OTA update but when the update ran, it aborted at updating the modem. Now looking at the system stats the baseband is still stuck at DG17. Is there an update zip file to update the modem at least to DG27?

I have done some searching and due to forums changing formats, updating etc.. its getting hard to find the old archives that had the older versions of modems to flash.

Anyways have you considered using Odin to flash to DI18 or EB13? Then you should have the updated modem and be able to successfully grab the update to EC05 (OTA).

Procedure #1 will give you Froyo EB13, Procedure #2 will give you Eclair 2.1 (DI18).

I know it does work bringing people from previous versions up to a functioning, working state. I have done a few like yours stuck back on DI07, DG27 and DG17.
