Battery charging time ridiculous since 2.2

I had my 1500 battery charging (in the phone) for over three hours and it only went from 30% to 68%. Now setting here at 50% and the battery is reading a smidge over 105 degrees F. Why do the batteries seem to take so long to charge post update?

Battery at 110 degrees now. Oh and sorry to start another thread on charging times....did not see the other. Duh!
