Battery Cover on S3 starting to "Yellow" around the edges?

I have a S3 that is white, that has no case (I know, I know) and is starting to show a "yellowing" on the battery cover? Anyone else having this problem? I do smoke cigarettes and maybe it is from handling it after/while smoking? I have had white phones before this and never had a problem?

Any ideas? Will AT&T send me a new battery cover?

Sorry...I will try and post pics in the AM, but the hue is like a brownish yellow, seems to be around the corners of the battery cover...that is what I've noticed.

I would just clean it. Mines white and I have had it for a few months now and no yellow on mine! Do you have it in a case or naked?

Smoking could be making the marks. I'm willing to bet that is it. Get a case for it if you do not have one. May help some.

ATT most likely will not send you a new back cover. If its caused by you its not a defect nor is it their problem. Its yours to figure out and fix. Plus you can buy the back covers for $10 or so offline.

cgardner- Thanks, Yeah I found a couple aftermarket covers online that looked awesome like the brushed metal ones. I might spring for one of those next week. I had the HTC Vivid before this phone, and it was white but no problems with staining. Maybe it is the type of material used?

Yeah its more than likely the material they use. But still the after market covers are hit or miss from what I understand. I know they do sell some OEM back covers on Amazon.com and maybe even ebay. Id go with Amazon if it was me.

Let us know how things turn out with the new back cover when ya get it!

Also you might be able to call Samsung directly. But the outcome will more than likely be the same with att. If you get the right person they may just send ya. Just don't expect them too was all I was say. (Sorry if my last post came across sorta asshat like. Did not mean it too.)

@cgardner...the aftermarket covers on ebay and amazon are nice, but I am always scared to buy direct from China, although I have in the past with other things. I will give that a try and see what I come up with.

Is anyone out there having this problem?
No matter what cover I buy for my Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini it starts to burn/go yellow around the edges within a week. Any clue?
