Hi All!

I'm new at this and am not familiar with protocol yet. How do I get the message to Google and/ or Sprint wireless/ HTC that my HTC A9 freezes, apps lock up, bluetooth looses connection to paired devices and battery drains very quickly since installation of Nougat 7.0! Previous version was stable and no real issues. How do I get these resolved without going to factory reset or any other time consuming tasks?

Welcome to Android Central! See if you can wipe the cache partition, which can be helpful after major system updates. Follow these steps, and tell us if there is a Wipe Cache Partition option in the Recovery Menu: HTC One A9 - Recovery Mode - HardReset.info. The screenshots there don't show it, but I've seen posts where people say the option exists.

I also moved this thread to the A9 forum.

I would highly suggest a factory reset, sometimes clearing the data and cache does wonders for Android after an update, and shouldn't be to difficult to redownload apps or backup photos versus having issues. Also my battery life was always below average with the a9, battery many phones experience better standby with nougat but worse active use battery life
