Battery drain! Google services.

Just started day before yesterday. Google Services consuming 23% of battery usage.

How long have you had your phone? I went to setting, personal, privacy and safety and then app permissions and limited the apps that wanted to use my location.

I think google services was a high battery user for a while but I do not think it is any longer after having had my device and several charging cycles. Marshmallow made it very nice to control app permissions.

I also keep my gps set to the middle setting unless need it.

Did a Google search and found quite a few comments about Google Services causing drain. Followed the recommendations and....Google Services is no longer running my battery dry! There is happiness in the valley☺

Honestly, I don't remember. Google and followed most of the suggestions, disabling stuff as suggested.

Settings>data usage>google services>restrict background data.

I also restricted google play services. This instantly fixed it for me.
