I don't use the Kindle all that much, but the Kindle will be at around 70% one day and when I go to use it the next, the battery is dead. Without me even touching it all.

Does anyone else have this problem? Is there something I can do to help with battery life?

Are you sure there's nothing still running. As an experiment, try shutting down the Kindle completely (press and hold).

I get three days on average with use of reading books with kindle and web browsing, news apps, tapatalk, that amounts to three hours a day. On days with minimal use of one hour, I get five days of standby. I have Juice Defender Ultimate running on a one hour schedule.

Maybe try controlling your settings, this usually is the biggest issue of battery drainage, Let me know how it goes!

Do you have to use the KF wall charger or will any mini usb work?

You can use a different mini USB charger but the KF charger has a higher output than typical chargers so your KF charges faster with its own charger.
