I've had this phone for 1.5 year and with every update the battery has gotten progressively worse but it's now getting plain ridiculous. I'm getting about 6-7 hours after light use.

Currently on Android v5.1

Disregard the little up tick in battery. I put on charger for a few minutes.

Yeah, mine just had a rough night as well. My best guess is that a recent app that updated is fragging things. It's happened before. Clearing cache, cleaning up scraps, etc, and patience for bug correction in a few days.

Looks like your email program is constantly synching. Check the settings in your email program to see how often it is synching. Maybe turn it to less frequent polling of the email servers, say 15 minutes, or even 30 minutes.

Was set to every 5 minutes. I moved to 10. Is that really killing the battery? My screen is on about 35% brightness as well

Look at the stats from GSam battery monitor, the App Sucker screen. Email was taking 17% of your battery life. Something is going on with your email that's using a lot of battery.

Were you doing a lot of reading/writing of emails over the 3 hours of that battery discharge time?
