Battery draining fast after it hits 5% of juice left

I've noticed on my S20U Verizon that when I reach 5% of battery left, it drains to zero within 3 minutes. Usually every 1% lasts me 5 minutes, but once it hits 5% it dies to quick. Anyone else has noticed this or knows what could cause it? Or how to detect the issue?

Yep but I can't charge it while at work

That's the absolute worst thing you can do to your battery..... you will kill it super fast  Can you carry a small battery pack with you? Or maybe turn the phone off occasionally? At least run the extreme battery saver mode.

To answer your original question, this is just the nature of Li-ion batteries and how their state of charge is calculated. The voltage curve is mostly flat until you get to the low end of charge level, then it drops like a rock. Once the charge level gets that low, the current draw increases as voltage decreases. I would agree that carrying a power bank would be a good idea. Look for one that can charge wirelessly, so that you can simply hold it behind the phone off and on throughout the day.

Thank you this is what I was looking for, if it was normal behavior as it reaches low level of battery life.

Does the performance profile automatically change? Getting below 20% would be a good choice. Gsam battery might help see what happens.

I can't confirm and didn't pay attention in Android 10, I'm on the beta now and those setting are different, I would like to say it stays whatever power saving mode your current in .
