AC Question

Recently I bought a new Galaxy S6 from a highly rated US based seller on eBay (at bargain price I must add). The phone was described as being either an overstock or a display model and from the light scratching on the charging port I'm assuming it was the latter.

I began using Google's service for copying information from my old phone and because of that it's been downloading a large number of apps (around 64). My question is: the battery has gone from 100% down to 66% in a little under an hour and has been fairly hot to the touch. Is this normal when downloading (transferring) a large number of apps or could I have been given a refurbished phone with diminished battery life? Granted I won't be downloading apps every minute during regular usage so it's current performance isn't reflective, but I would just like to make sure this is normal because admittedly i'm not sure how fast downloads should drain the battery.
