Battery draining

I'm not sure if the recent update is the cause but my battery is draining much faster than before. A Verizon representative thought my problem was due to the number of apps I have on the phone. I have deleted several of them such as weatherbug and face book. I don't need either but it has only helped marginally if that. Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks

There are battery analizers in playstore but check your WiFi connection and make sure its not constantly searching for an open connection. Also, have you restarted the phone? Check all settings for apps that have feeds,like Twitter,flipboard, to see how often they refresh. Weather has setting too,2,3,6,9,12 hours etc. Better battery stats is a real good investigative app,but there is a learning curve on this one,as well as $3 charge,well worth it in my opinion. And if you don't have a security app,check out Malwarebytes free. Or Avast free. In twelve hours sleeping,neither app used even 1% of battery.
