So, i did what i could to maximize the amount of time i spent on the display. However, that meant i had to browse the web, peruse the marketplace, sent text messages, and etc. I found it REALLY hard to spend that much time at once on my phone.

I have had the phone for a week now, and i have definitely gotten past the breaking in point where you are constantly adjusting settings and downloading a bunch of apps and having that feeling of a kid on christmas morning. I definitely noticed my battery life improving over that period because i now realize i was using the phone less and less.

In any case, 4 hours of full on display time and 17 hours of dependable phone useage is fine with me. I probably could optimize it more. Who knows.

So the charge cycles have been above 8 hours, with the max at 31.5 hours.

AeroEngi its obviously wifi being the key to battery life

Agreed. I'm on cell data for most of the day and my battery life is decent but if I use wifi, my battery life goes through the roof.

Um....not exactly but alright. The Wi-Fi in the battery manager is misleading because i keep it on all of the time so that i am able to get the most out of the smart actions feature.

I have 3G on all of the time as well. I am not in an area where there is consistent 4G.

All you have to do to prolong battery life is disable background data in the data manager menu. You can keep data enabled but disabling background data allows you to control which applications use the data and when. You will not be able to receive gmail notifications or such, but it does save on battery life because the phone is not draining waiting for you to use it.

Background data is required for me. I rely on email and Google Voice for text too much to have to manually check it.

In my opinion disabling back ground data is crazy. I disable cellular data when on wifi, but background data is always enabled.

I guess if you don't rely on email that might work, but not for me.

Agreed. Just can't disable background data.

Also, wifi is absolutely the key to long battery life.

4hr 16min 18s of display for 17 hour 16s on battery. Its posted in one of the pictures above.

Have you guys heard about the rumored upcoming update for the RAZR?

Its suppose to come out in early december and fix:

Out of service indicator
Multiple mms pop ups.
Settings menu error.
Green/Blue tinted pics.
Battery drain issue.
No network/data network connection.

[Rumor] The Droid RAZR will get a Firmware Update in Early December!

So i guess motorola realizes there is an issue with the battery drain at the moment.

I think I have a battery issue by looking at your display stats!

No you don't dude, it's wifi that's giving all these crazy high battery lives. I've had wifi on for the past 5 hours with a screen time of an hour and I'm at 83% charge.
