Battery $ indicator grey

After comparing my note 3 with my friend's, I've noticed that my battery/wifi signal indicators are both grey in colour. Is there a way to change it back to colour mode? I've made a switch over from IOS system, so this is kind of complicated for me.

Have you updated your phone to KitKat 4.4?

Sounds like you have updated to 4.4...Which brought the more neutral colors to the notification bar.
