Hi everyone
I have a Galaxy A5 2016 which in the last few months going to shut down quickly when the battery decrease to 15%. It turned off yesterday because of the low battery and when I plug in the charger the three dots blinking and shows charging but it stuck at 0% for hours.

I think it's not out of battery because I can turn it on and do this for so many times but it turns off in seconds with low battery notification even if the charger is connected. Also, I can boot it into the recovery mode and stay in recovery mode for hours without shutting down. I think there is a problem with battery state and indicator.
Wiped the cache and tried the safe mode. Not helping.

Does anyone know a solution for this?

Thanks

There's probably a problem with the battery. Running it down to 15% for what? Almost 3 years? You need a new battery, and you need to learn that to keep the battery running for a long time, you keep it between 40% and 80%. Charging to 100% isn't that bad for it, but when it gets down to 39%, charge it or turn it off. We don't use lithium batteries because they can be discharged to 0 - they can't. (What's showing as 0% is probably about 50%, but if you discharge a lithium battery to an actual 0% it disconnects internally. Charging a lithium battery that';s literally uncharged (0%) is also known as setting off a bomb. And one the size of a cellphone battery will remove your arm up to your shoulder if you're holding the phone. (And probably your head with it.)

So stop discharging it so far or buy stock in a battery company.

If you want a battery you can discharge to flat, then charge it back up, over and over, year after year, you want a gel cell. One that will run a cellphone will be larger than an A5 and weigh a few pounds. That's why we use lithium batteries. Oh, and if you';re going outside with the phone in freezing weather? Put the phone in an inside pocket. Lithium batteries freeze. And boil. If you're uncomfortable, so is the battery. And if it's uncomfortable, you're shortening its life.
