I just ordered the v20 today and it ships Dec 1st so I have some time to order new chargers. My question is though, is my extra battery from my v10 interchangeable with the v20?
The two batteries are not interchangeable. They both have similar nominal, end & charge voltages but the charging & discharging currents are way different. The biggest differences cater to the Quick Charging 2.0 for the V10 as opposed to the Quick Charge 3.0 on the V20. If you try to use one on another it would be a fire hazard or could lead to serious damage to your phone.
The V10 is listed as:
Charge Current:Standard 1,450 mA (32 ~ 113°F) & Maximum 3,000 mA (32 ~ 113°F) Charge Cut-off Current 20 mA
Discharge Current - Standard 580 mA (-4 ~ 140°F) & Maximum 2,030 mA (-4 ~ 140°F) Internal Resistance Average 120.8 mΩ (LSL: 100 mΩ, USL: 160 mΩ)
The V20 is listed as:
Charge Current: Standard 1,540 mA (0 ~ 45°C) Maximum 3,080 mA (0 ~ 45°C) to 4.30 V Maximum 2,156 mA (0 ~ 45°C) to 4.40 V Charge Cut-off Current 20mA
Discharge CurrentStandard 616 mA (0 ~ 60°C) Maximum 2,156 mA (0 ~ 60°C) Internal ResistanceAverage 60 mΩ (LSL: 40 mΩ, USL: 80 mΩ)
Very good info. Which leads me to another question...
I have several quick charge 2.0 chargers. If I get new usb-c cables can I use the 2.0 chargers on the v20? Also will the charger that came with the v10 work for the v20?
I'm compilling a list now of how many new cables I need. I'm glad I can reuse all the chargers themselves; 3 cables are cheaper than 1 charger. I have like a dozen chargers between my wife & I, in our vehicles, house, camper, work etc!
Thanks for the help. Yeah I'm gonna order some short c cables a couple long c cables. How long is the cable that comes with the phone?
The phone does come with a Quick Charge 3.0 charging adapter & a USB type C cable to go along with the adapter. It also comes with the a converter from B to C, but that's very small & easy to lose. I would get a type C cable for the car at least.
Actually, the charger that comes with it is a QC 2.0, not 3.0... or at least it is on the one I got from Verizon.

Well, will the charging cradle charge the new v20 batteries?

The V20 will charge fine on a standard charger. It doesn't even fully make use of Quick Charging unless the screen is turned off. As for QC2.0 vs 3.0, there isn't much of a speed difference. 3.0 may be a little faster, but its design intent was focused on better efficiency and not necessarily speed. I've used mine on both, and honestly can't tell any difference in charging times. With the screen off, it's pretty fast on both 2.0 and 3.0.You can purchase adapters for your USB cable (USB>UDB-C) from Amazon. They're just a few bucks. However, if you use a different charger, make sure it's a fast charging one and the voltage is adequate.
