Battery issue...

Hello, I need help!
Yesterday, I've purchased the new HTC One. It's an excellent phone, but I have issues with the battery: It drains way, way too fast! I've tried everything to improve the battery performance and I got no results. The GSam Battery Monitor says that the average battery life is about 6 hours, and I tend to agree with it, every 2-3 minutes I lose 1% of the power. Again, I tried absolutely everything said on this forum and on other forums, but no results so far.
Any suggestions, please... :)

Since you just purchased it yesterday see if you can return it or swap it out for a new one at your carrier. That sort of draining does seem abnormal.

After looking everywhere I could, I guess this is the only thing to do. Way to go, HTC! I'll go with the S4.

Lol, so you bought a phone yesterday and as of first thing this morning you make a post that you have tried EVERYTHING on this forum and nothing helps battery life....38 minutes later you've decided to go with the S4.
Wow....not sure what to say other than go for it I guess.

I've been a HTC user for long, long time. It's not something very common for me, this battery life issue, I've just expected to be an improvement, that's all, but I don't know why I expected something else than dissapointment.
By the way, I'm not from the U.S.

Well i don't know what your doing because mines great. I'm a power user also. Give htc one more chance ;-)

My battery life is great as well, much better than I initially expected coming from a HTC One X and Galaxy S3. You're supposed to give the device at least four or five days for the system and the battery to settle before you start commenting about the battery life. You should also monitor the applications running in the background, your usage, screen time, mobile data, wifi, sync, brightness and many other factors before making a true 'educated' guess. What you're doing at the moment is being a brat since it's only been a single day, and now you want to jump ship to a S4. It makes me think you were looking for an excuse to get the S4 anyway and you found one. Go ahead, one less HTC customer isn't the end of the world.

Most android phones...including the S4...has everything synced and ON by default so your pulling a lot of juice. Try turning off some sync options you don't use.

Now, you didn't state how long you were using the phone with the screen on to get such bad battery life. You didn't state how high you have your brightness up. Did you try a factory reset? Many of these problems are fixed with a factory reset.....and better yet....letting the phone go through at least 4 charging cycles to fully charge the battery to its full capacity. I will say this though, If you have your brightness at 80% or higher with 3 hours screen time, your battery isn't going to last long....and neither is the S4...I know cause I own one.

Never expect anything. So when something good happens it makes you smile, but when something bad happens it's never as bad as you think.

Good luck
