Battery Life discussion thread.

Also, I've decided for the first time in my Note (hell, Android) history (>15 years) to start actually exercising my battery! Duh! I have always been one of those "just throw it on the charger whether it really need it or not" types, just to get it topped off... ALWAYS! Sacrilege, I know... but that's always been me! Since we started keeping track of the battery usage on these new Note 20 Ultra's, I said "That's it, I'm going to start running this thing down 'til it NEEDS a charge, THEN charge it! It's not to difficult either... don't know why it took me FIFTEEN years???

This is me as well now. I used to charge my phone so many times during the day or night. Now I am just using the phone and charging once a day. If I travel and wall charging isn't available , fast charge power bank comes in handy.

I'd like to be able to use my phone as I want to, but also only have to charge it once a day. But that's just not possible.

I am starting to notice the battery life getting better from day one and much better than the 10+ was.

Good to know, thanks! I'm still using my Note 10+ and figuring out what to switch too. Battery life is the only thing I'm looking at to switch. Tried the Duo but returned it so kinda want a new phone now haha.

I never did like his videos. It's not anyone thing, but mostly a combination of his late posts, uninviting production and quality, and his info always seemed to be inaccurate or at least inconsistent. I tried to stick with his channel for a while, but then I realized I was wasting my time because I was getting more thorough info and more appealing quality videos, from other channels.

But to each their own.

Same here. I've been avoiding Sakitech videos for quite some time now as there was so much click bait type videos and it felt like he was churning out videos for the sake of videos.

Off the charger on Friday at 7am back on the charger today at 8am, around 5.5 hours screen on over 2 days with 12% battery left. Can't really complain for my usage.

With 120Hz and 1080p Full HD
Battery life is average for me. So it's good enough for a full day.

Got about 5 hours screen time today before putting on the charger.. Changed it to adaptive battery as got tired of keeping changing it anytime I went outside

Also set to auto and dark mode to come on at 6pm... I've noticed no difference from this to dark mode on all the time

I set up a bixby routine for brightness, 7.am brightness to 40% and 8pm brightness to 5%
This seems to be working fine but I can still adjust brightness to my liking as these routines just do what you want at the time specified.

After 6 days this is how my battery life is doing. This was from yesterday to overnight. Yeah, I had insomnia...I didn't start out trying to check it so there was a second or two on wireless charge here but not enough to discount the excellent reading... Not too shabby for a new phone.

Day two on my device, 4 hours of SOT in a 7 hour period. Bear in mind I charge and discharge using the 80-40% rule of thumb.

Had 2% (two) battery left with no charger. My fast thinking put the phone into maximum power saving mode. The phone was literally at 0% and never powered off due to maximum power saving mode "saving" its life (pun intended) for the next 30 minutes until I was able to plug it in. Maximum Power Saving Mode FTW.
