Battery Life - how is it?

What's everyone experience so far with battery life on the Optimus?

I'm considering upgrading my Mom's phone from a non-smartphone to the Optimus. My one hesitation is regarding battery life. I'm sure she's fine plugging the phone in every night at bed time, but I don't want to get her something she has to worry about not making it through the day.

I'd appreciate any input you may have.

Light-moderate usage was really good. Heavy usage I was making it to late afternoon/early evening.

I had the T but the experience should be the same.
