I've had my S7 for almost 2 years and it was starting to get a little laggy and the battery life was getting worse. I was wondering if the age of the phone caused the reduction in battery life, so after trying cache wipes and other tricks, I decided to do a FACTORY RESET since I had never done one before.
Well, my phone runs like new again! On a typical work day, I'd wake up around 6:30AM and start using the phone for typical things like checking email, a couple of phone calls during the day, some texting, streaming TuneIn while getting ready in the AM, etc... By the time I finished work, around 5:00PM, I'd be down to around 50% battery, which is not as good as it used to be (more like 70-80%). Keep in mind, this is not heavy use (like I'll do on the weekends).
I'm please to report that after the Factory Reset, my battery is back to that 70-80% range after a day at the office. Furthermore, the slight laggyness and some bugs have gone away - i.e. GMail syncs better/faster, apps are smoother, etc...

So rather than buy a new phone, I think I can keep this one a little longer! Hope this tip helps...
