Battery Life Just Tanked For No Obvous Reason

I've had the phone for quite some time now, and the battery life has been exceptional. I noticed and posted yesterday that some rogue process was eating my battery. The fast charger is barely able to keep up, wired or wireless. I have performed a system cache wipe. Wiped app caches. Booted in safe mode (the problem exists in safe mode.) The rogue process was gone after the system cache wipe, but the battery drain remains. It is as if the OS or Android System is using some ridiculous amount of power for some reason. Should I even bother with a complete system reset, or should I take the phone in for a warranty replacement? Could it be a physical battery problem that just developed on its own? I should note the phone has the latest system updates (on Verizon.)

To reiterate, before you reply:
1. Wiped app caches.
2. Wiped system cache
3. Booted in safe mode- battery drain still a problem.

What else could it be?

Uninstall Facebook. They may have updated some stuff and it goes deep into the OS, maybe that's why your battery is used by OS so much.... If that fails, do a factory reset but don't restore apps... do a clean install

Facebook is a good bet - it's, let's just say, not the best app ever written.

Also look in Setup/Battery. Tap the graph to get to the next page. Look for drops to 0 for a short (VERY short) time. That's a bad battery. If not, look down at the mobile signal line. If that's not green it's eating battery.
