Battery life makes me warm and fuzzy.

On whether or not the V60 is the phone to get, you seem to have this love hate relationship with it and have issues that the rest of us don't seem to have.

It is a bit of a love hate relationship. You do know it's possible to like a given product overall while still having issues you don't like, right?

I love the camera battery life, display image quality, etc, but I also hate the lack of bezels, non-LCD screen, sealed battery, etc. And when discussing a specific feature, I can set aside personal opinions. When announced, the dual screen and pen support was all the rage, but now there's barely a peep about it. Rsmin sounds to have a great reason to use it, but that doesn't seem to be the majority.

Eric, thanks
He's not a very credible source when it comes to the V60 as he flip flops alot IMO. There are many use cases for the dual screen on the V60... some of my uses are

-web browsing in one screen and Snapchat and other messaging on the other

-video call and other apps on the other screen

-app coupons on the extended screen and a music app on the other (when in drive thru)

- use as a stabilizer when recording 4K video

And more.

The V60 is a better buy over the velvet as it has a quad DAC whereas the velvet doesn't. Once you hear the Quad DAC you won't be able to accept anything less. For me, it resulted in me buying a surround sound receiver with a DAC that has the same specs as the Quad DAC.

Mooncatt, it's OK, I knew where you were coming from on your response. It's like the note series, I have always loved them but couldn't really use them for my afor mentioned use of notes while studying on the split screen. I mainly used the spen for quick notes and for marking up a pdf file, and sometimes using it on the swipe keyboard. When I noticed LG had the dual screen WITH pen support it really got me thinking I could possibly take notes while reading/studying with it. I loved my galaxy phones and currently have the Note 10+ but was thinking this dual screen would work a lot better. I just can't tell which one I would rather get. I love the specs on the v60, but love the style of the Velvet dual case. Also not sure i want the curved edges of the velvet because it takes up writing real-estate on the screen (falling off the edge).. It's one reason several note users would like Samsung to go back to flat screens. Also Samsung's pricing for their new notes is far beyond what I feel good about spending on a phone. Anyway I appreciate everyone's response.

I use the second screen a couple of times a week. Mainly at work with phone laying flat on my desk. It's a bit cumbersome using both screens hand held. Even with that limited use I keep the second screen attached 100% of the time. I'm not the norm with this but I like the larger size and heft. Hell, I'd go to a 7'' version if they had one.

The only draw back to having the second screen attached all the time is camera usability. It's a PIA with the second screen.

Thank you for letting me know how you use it. Handled one at the store today and love the feel of it. I agree, the bigger the better for me.

Mooncat: Thanks for the info, I do have a specific need. I love writing notes down while reading and studying. Plan on opening book on right screen while writing notes on left screen (I am left handed) Tried using split screen on my note phones but when doing that both the books and the notes section was just too small. I have done this for years on my iPad pro but need a smaller version. Once I found out that LG v60 and velvet had pen support the option to go with LG became an option for me.

I us the dual case when I do research on the go. It is nice to have the monitor feel on a phone not just in the office.
