I am new to the forum and just recently completed a complete "overhaul" of an old G1 and thought I would share some commentary and pose a question. G1's are not known for having anything CLOSE to good battery life, so what do you get? My freshly hacked phone is going on 13.5 hours with wifi on and 3g disabled and I still have 47% battery. It looks like I may get 20 hours out of this bad boy today.

This represents the final config I am running now, I tried many other variations including HardSPL, the 26l radio, and MANY different ROM's. Trust me, don't even mess with anything other than CM-6.1 or will be sorry. The only other ROM I was able to get running was Froyo for Trout but it had a huge battery bug when used with the current radio. If you want to run Froyo you MUST run the current radio.
Be aware that the biggest problem I have found is the 2.22.23.02 radio itself appears to be a battery hog. Ironically turning on wifi all the time seems to keep the buggy radio at bay.
