Some people seem to be getting excellent battery life, and others seem to be getting horrible battery life. The story is the same at all the other Android websites, so it's not an isolated occurrence in either case.

I'm curious how many people fall into either camp. If you have a RAZR, this poll is for you...

On my HTC Incredible I used to get 4 hours, on my RAZR I'm seeing 6 so that's a pretty decent increase.

However, I'm a pretty heavy user as here is my usual day:

Pull off charger at 6 AM, surf the web / play some games for a half hour.

7:30 connect bluetooth to car and use GPS with Waze to drive to work (I always use GPS to avoid rush hour traffic).

8:10 arrive to work, turn off GPS but leave bluetooth on.

For the rest of the day until 5:30 or 6 I'm constantly streaming music through pandora or audiogalaxy while using my bluetooth headphones. I'll occasionally download some apps and surf the web as I need a quick break from work. During that time my phone is usually dead around noon. Like I said, my Dinc would only last me until 10 or so, so it's a pretty decent improvement in my eyes.

I should also point out that my office has horrible reception, so while I'm doing all that streaming the phone is working harder to maintain connection. With my dinc I usually saw 1/4 bars, with my RAZR I'm seeing about a 2 bars.

I'm pretty happy with the battery life. I've gotten 6 hours of heavy useage in one charge cycle, and anywhere from 12- 36 hours with moderate useage in a separate charge cycle. I play around with the smart actions frequently trying my best to optimize the battery life. So far so good.

I started with crappy battery life, and via some Tasker tweaks to only use WiFi _or_ Cell Data at any one time, and uninstalling a few things (like Social Location), I've gone to about 30hrs on "Light Usage". I'll probably run some heavier tests in the next few days, but that's longer than I ever got on my D2G (with an extended battery).

If I can safely go from 7AM to at least 10PM with moderate usage, that's all I'm after. I think I can get that.

Kind of guessing the 12-16 hrs, don't really have to pay attention to it much now. Radios all on all the time. Usually in wifi world, tho', which matters a lot. And not a YouTuber/FB'r, etc. And I don't keep my music on the phone. That's what ipods are for! Seems like there are a LOT of variables affecting battery life.

With light to moderate usage today, I had 15 hours and 10 minutes off the charger and was down to 20% battery remaining. I'd say that's pretty good for an LTE device. This was with wi-fi off all day, running only on LTE, push e-mail also polling every 30 minutes, Weatherbug Elite updating every 30 minutes, and all GPS options enabled.

Looks like most people are getting at least 12 hours, which sounds pretty decent to me...

How much wifi usage do all you guys have cuz these long battery lives can be a little deceiving. Just to make it more clear, post your battery life in hours followed by how long you were connected to wifi.

Thanks.

When I first got my Razr, I just let the battery run its course until my phone was dead. Then gave it a good night's charging (this is something I do with all my new devices).
My average is 18.5 hrs. in a day's worth of use of nothing but 4G LTE, with the occasional browsing, gaming, and music playing.
Now with only 3G, the most I've gotten thus far is around 29 hrs.
Not too shabby for an LTE device.

What kind of smart actions are you using to save your battery?

Here's a post I made last night in another thread:

"I've been on vacation this week, visiting some family outside of Phoenix. Because of this, I don't have any of my docks or car charger, so it has forced me to not connect to power all day long.

I took it off the charger at about 6:15AM. I spent about 45-60 minutes on the phone, surfed the web and Facebook for a little over an hour probably, used google navigation for about 30 minutes, sent 10 or 12.emails and did a little IM on Google Talk. I've spent most the time in 4G areas and I do have 4G turned on.

When at their house I'm connected to wifi with cellular data disabled via smart actions. It is now 8:53PM, so almost 15 hours, we're back to my family memvers home and I'm at 10% remaining.

Pretty damn good if you ask me."

To further update that, adder that post I put it in my pocket until about 11:45. It was below 5% as I received that warning, but it was still on and going strong.

I get between 6 and 7 hours a charge on 4G. I think alot of that is due to the fact that the phone is always looking for signal when I'm at work. I get closer to 10 hours when I'm on wi-fi.
