Battery Life: rooted vs. unrooted

Anyone else notice battery life issues after rooting? I cant figure this out to save my life.

I don't want you to feel "unread" but I haven't rooted so I have no data.

I didn't notice any difference in battery life when I rooted my fire. I have had my battery drain a little faster since I put ICS on it, but I think that's mostly from the rom not having the battery life optimized yet.

I just rooted my Kindle Fire on Saturday. My battery seems to be draining more mainly because I am using it much more than before. Probably not much different than before actually.

I put the CM9 ICS on my rooted kindle and yes, my battery drains a lot faster, even when I'm not using it. I like ICS on it too much though, so I'll deal with it for now. Also, I got mine refurb for 130$ and rooted about a week or 2 after I got it, so I don't know if the refurb battery life was short anyway, for sure shorter now after root though.
