Apologies if this has been discussed already. Couldn't find any specific threads on the subject.

Anyway, since the last OS update the battery life on my S8+ has gotten worse. It gets down to about 20% after a normal 12 hours useage whereas before it would be at about 55%.

What is always using most of my battery is Android System closely followed by Android OS.

Funny thing is is that I have an S8 with the exact same update where the battery life is still as good before. The S8 gets down to 55% of normal 12 hour usage.

So what's up with the latest OS update and the S8+? It's been like this for a few weeks now. I gave it time to settle down.

Both are UK phones. Unlocked. S8+ is on Vodafone. The S8 is on Three.

Same apps on both phones? Maybe one of the apps is not working properly and try uninstalling, wait, then reinstall.

I wish - maybe there already is - a easy to see and run TOP and all processed.

Hmm, that is a strange occurrence, OP! Would you consider (once all of your information is backed up, of course) a factory reset to uninstall the OS updates?

I wonder if you could downgrade via odin, and if you do - does it factory reset your phone?

Recent battery use on my S8+ on Vodafone was getting double before the August update I'm guessing that's the cause

So it's not just me. Those battery stats look the same as mine. Maybe it's something to do with Vodafone.

Both of my phones have the same apps on them apart from the specific network ones. So maybe that is it except those apps aren't burning my battery life.

I'm getting worse battery life as well since the last update. To add salt to the wound, it also reset my phone after the update. Still on August security patch as well.

I’m on the August Security update as well. Maybe the next update will sort out the battery life issue - but only if Samsung know about it.

I did have awful battery life but all of a sudden it seems to have just fixed itself
