I solved my lollipop battery overheating issue with a factory reset.

Now I'm trying to add back the digital clock widget to the home screen. With the Google now launcher, it's no longer an option.

Options? I really need a larger clock and date on the home screen, that's it.

Take a look at minimal clock. I use it and it's great. Says time, date and battery life if you want. You can change the appearance also

Haha, I didn't realize I could get widgets from the app store.... All along I've just been using the ones on my phone....

Chronus clock widget is one of the best and most simple to configure clock widgets..
It is developed by the developer that created official Cyanogenmod clock widget.

Yes, welcome to a new age of technology where you can get replacements for whichever apps you don't like currently on the phone. :)

Chronus is the best I've ever used. Go for Pro, it's worth it.
