battery life suddenly terrible

today my samsung galaxy s6 suddenly started having this bad battery issue. i searched high and low for solutions, tried restarting the system, deleted/stopped some google apps, checked the battery life and running apps and dealt with those, i even turned on ultra power saving mode while the phone charged. my battery life won't even reach 10% until two hours pass. i was at 18% and i unplugged the charger to see if i needed a new cord, bam the battery went from 18% to 3%. what is going on?? i tried everything!! frustrated. stuck on a contract with this baby too ://

Edit ; i noticed alot of other threads having this kind of battery issue too and most posts were made this month..just thought that was weird?l

Mine started today too and looks like Google play services is the culprit. Not sure how to fix it yet though.

I have figured out that my location was triggering Google services. I am back to turning location off again for awhile. Been up since 3:30am and still have 82% with 1hr 10m of SOT. On central time so 7.25 hours on battery so far.

Also inside your WiFi MORR settings there's a option that makes your WiFi trigger even when it's off. It's constantly searching for WiFi I turned mine off and my batter became 100 better
