I dont' have the need for more storage right now, but, I think the wi drive would be easier to use (i.e. nothing to plug in) and share. I have tried a usb drive with a dongle, it is a bit unwieldly. And, yes, a dongle and a usb drive are much cheaper than a wi-drive.
