I saw an article in droid life about new battery technology that may be coming in the next year or so. I havent seen any excitement over this in any forums. Has anyone else heard of this. quore from the article on 11-15-11 ""We have found a way to extend a new lithium-ion battery?s charge life by 10 times. Even after 150 charges, which would be one year or more of operation, the battery is still five times more effective than lithium-ion batteries on the market today. ? Harold H. Kung Northwestern University"" I know its not now but at least we know someone is looking into it.

I think this is an area that's sorely overlooked and should receive the most attention going forward.

Something tells me that battery life gets a lot of R&D within the private cos. But I could be wrong. It doesnt take a genius to realize that battery life is the ticket to everything wonderful in the mobile world.

I want to see a hydrogen fuel-cell-powered phone with more than 2 days' talk time. THAT would be something...:D

They already have those. On the Enterprise. Picard and Worf and number 2 use them on the Away Teams. lol

Every company involved in tech market are involved in developing better battery but so far there are more failures that success.
I have heard that Sony did some breakthrough in R&D side related to batteries but the technology is not ready yet. But so far Sony batteries are the best in the market and hope their promised battery will be even better.
